NATS-NCR is proud to award two Senior Scholarships this year; one in CLASSICAL Voice and one in MUSIAL THEATRE!

Requirements for each section are similar. Please review the guidelines below to ensure you have included all necessary components.

Senior Scholarship Guidelines

Application Process

Step 1: To apply, applicants should submit a completed registration form and their $75 Registration Fee no later than NOVEMBER 1st, 2023 .

Step 2: Following the registration period, a NATS member will confirm all registrations received by email.

Step 3: At this time, if there are sufficient entrants for each competition, those competitions will move forward and registered entrants may prepare and submit their materials. All required materials and recordings must be submitted to events.natsncr@gmail.com by DECEMBER 15th, 2023

A registration fee of $75 applies and should be paid via e-Transfer (treasurer.natsncr@gmail.com). Registrations will only be considered complete upon receipt of the registration fee. Registration fees will be refunded should the applicant’s respective competition not move forward due to lack of applicants.

The final round of the Senior Scholarship competitions will take place immediately after the Student Vocal Festival Showcase concert on

February 11th, 2024

Eligibility

All applicants must have studied with a NATS-NCR Chapter teacher and have previously competed in an intermediate or senior level class (classical or musical theatre, respective to the competition they are entering) at the chapter’s Student Vocal Festival. Applicants do not have to be currently studying with a NATS teacher.

Age: Be in Grade 12, or 17 Years of age as of December 31st, 2023 - 30 years of age.

Intention: For individuals currently attending or applying to programs in music, specifically studies in voice. Both secondary education and young artist’s programs are acceptable. Other projects being considered are professional recordings, supporting tuition/travel needs in order to pursue opportunities similar to the above to study with industry professionals or attend programs.
